Opel Combo, Vivaro, and Movano get new trims and EV versions

Opel Ireland is updating its three-model van offering and adding electric versions and ‘Sportive’ models with racier styling. 

The lineup starts with the compact Combo model, which costs €26,495 and comes in Komfort or Sportive trims. 

Combo Komfort model

Standard equipment for Komfort models includes cruise control, traffic sign recognition, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, intelligent speed assist, auto emergency braking, rear parking sensors, six airbags, a smartphone station with voice recognition, two USB ports, a spare wheel, air conditioning, a solid bulkhead with trapdoor, and automatic high beam assist. 

The Combo Sportive, retailing from €28,895 plus delivery, gains a ten-inch touchscreen, a ten-inch multi-colour driver information screen, Matrix LED headlamps, a 180-degree rearview camera, body-coloured bumpers, door handles, and rail covering and moulding.

Mid-size Vivaro

The mid-sized Vivaro also gets the choice of Komfort or Sportive trim but retains its large load capacity with a maximum load length of 4m, load volumes of up to 6.6 cubic metres and payload of up to 1,400kg. The Vivaro Komfort, with the standard wheelbase and roof height and 1.5 turbo diesel with 120hp, retails from €35,995 plus delivery.

Standard equipment includes cruise control and speed limiter, traffic sign recognition, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, intelligent speed assist, advanced emergency braking, rear parking sensors, rain sensing front wipers, automatic high beam assist, solid bulkhead, a 10” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB C type ports, a ten-inch multi-colour driver information screen, aircon, 16-inch wheels and a spare wheel.

The level two Vivaro Sportive trim, retailing from €37,995 plus delivery, boasts 17-inch wheels with full-size covers, an uplevel front grille, body-coloured door handles, body-coloured power folding electric and heated door mirrors, body-coloured front and rear bumpers, front fog lamps, and a 180-degree rearview camera.

Top-spec Movano

At the top of the Opel commercial vehicle lineup is the big Movano, which in panel van form offers three length and three height variants and the option of a chassis cab body type. The Movano provides a payload of up to two tonnes and a towing capacity of up to three tonnes, with a load volume of up to 17 cubic metres (5 Euro pallets).  The Movano Panel Van Komfort model retails from €38,295 plus delivery. Standard equipment includes cruise control and speed limiter, traffic sign recognition, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, intelligent speed assist, advanced emergency braking, passenger airbag, rear parking sensors, full steel bulkhead, USB port, DAB radio with five-inch colour screen, manual aircon, 16-inch wheels and a spare wheel.

All three vans will also have electric versions, with the big Movano electric able to cover as much as 420km on a single charge.
